Time has a way of slipping through our fingers like grains of sand. One moment we’re planning, organizing, and building, and the next, we’re looking back at memories that feel like they happened just yesterday. For members of the North America Provincial Council (NAPC) of the Aviary Club of Nigeria (ACN), the journey from 2018 to today is a powerful reminder of just how fast time moves, and how much we’ve accomplished, together.
2018 may feel like a recent chapter, but in truth, it marked a bold and defining moment for the NAPC, a year of structure, vision, and progress. It was a time when leadership wasn't just assigned, it was embraced with passion and purpose by men who carried the Avian spirit with dignity and fire.
The 2018 NAPC Lineup:
(PI): Sir Bidemi Agbaje A seasoned statesman with an unwavering vision. Under his guidance, NAPC found its rhythm and voice in North America.
(POS): AK Jetson Always sharp, always present , Jetson brought precision and coordination to every movement, every plan.
(PFC): Akin Ajayi (Owu Bemby) A steady hand on the financial tiller. His integrity and clarity kept the council’s engine running.
(PNG): Sylvester Onoyona, PhD A scholar, a thinker, and a brother. His insights added depth to our mission and identity.
(PE): Tony Obi The voice of wisdom. Calm, reflective, and ever supportive ,Tony was the gentle force we needed.
(PWPK): Tony Ejiofor (Cage) A warrior in heart and humor. His energy reminded us of our roots, bold, brilliant, unshaken.
(PDove): Dubby AlfonsoThe heart of compassion. Dubby championed peace, healing, and outreach within and beyond the council.
(PParrot): Yinka Taiwo With words that moved rooms and messages that lingered, Yinka gave the council its voice.
As we fast-forward to 2025, it's clear: the seeds planted in 2018 have grown into something strong, global, and unstoppable. Each leader left a mark , a memory, a policy, a principle. They helped mold what we now call NAPC Today.
We remember not just their roles, but their presence, the laughter during meetings, the brotherhood in their planning, the excellence they demanded and displayed. These were not just titles. These were torchbearers.
Time has indeed moved fast. But while the faces may rotate and new hands take the wheel, the legacy of 2018 remains a compass for every step forward.
To the 2018 NAPC council, thank you. You stood when things were still forming. You built when the structure was still raw. You dreamed when others doubted. Your efforts are etched in our history, and in our hearts.
