Kukuruku Aviary
In commemoration of the 29th Founders’ Day of the Aviary Club of Nigeria, the Kukuruku Aviary Grand Chapter (GC) carried out a compassionate outreach to the Auchi Correctional Facility in Edo State. This noble initiative was in alignment with the club’s enduring commitment to humanitarian service, youth rehabilitation, and nation-building.
Held on July 19, 2025, the visitation was a deeply fulfilling experience for all involved. During the visit, the Kukuruku GC held constructive discussions with correctional authorities and secured agreement on a long-term developmental intervention, the establishment of a Computer Training Centre and a Barbing Salon within the facility. These proposed projects aim to equip interested inmates with vocational and digital skills, supporting their rehabilitation and smooth reintegration into society.
In addition to these plans, the GC made generous donations of essential supplies and provided monetary support to assist in the purchase of medications for inmates recognized for good behavior and demonstrated character improvement.
Due to regulatory restrictions within the correctional facility, photography was not permitted during the visit. Nevertheless, all engagements and proposals were officially acknowledged. The Grand Chapter now awaits final documentation and approval from the Nigerian Correctional Service for the commencement of the skill acquisition projects.
The South-South Regional Council (SS PC) extends heartfelt commendation to the leadership and members of the Kukuruku Aviary GC for making this year’s Founders’ Day not only impactful but a powerful reflection of Aviary values compassion, brotherhood, and purposeful service to humanity.
As we continue our mission to uplift the downtrodden, support the homeless, and bring hope to the hopeless, may our collective efforts remain a shining testament to our founding ideals.
In Brotherhood We Stand.
