Warri, Delta State – May 23, 2025
From the watchful lens of Eagle’s Eye Magazine, the city of Warri witnessed a solemn yet dignified celebration of life, as family, friends, and members of the Aviary Club of Nigeria came together to honor the passing of a great patriarch Late Sir Samuel Boghenero Ayube, father of Mr. Michael Ayube, the South South Provincial Vice President of the Aviary Club of Nigeria.
At the remarkable age of 93, Sir Samuel left behind a legacy not only as a revered father but as a beacon of discipline, grace, and wisdom in his community. The burial, which took place in his hometown in Delta State, was a blend of emotion, tradition, and the unmistakable spirit of the Aviary brotherhood.
The event was attended by prominent figures within the Aviary family and beyond. Notable among them were members of the Elders Council, including Elder Benson Igbudu and Elder Michael Oberibo, members of the Supreme Council, and the entire South South Provincial Council. Also present were Grande Inspectors (GIs) from Edo, Anioma, Okpezillo, and Oil City Aviaries, along with the South South Provincial Ambassador, Mr. Hilton Peters — all showing solidarity and honor to a man who raised a pillar within the Aviary movement.
A Gathering of Legacy and Brotherhood
The atmosphere during the service was one of heartfelt tributes and sincere prayers. Each moment was a reflection of the values Sir Samuel instilled in his family — values his son Michael Ayube continues to uphold within the Aviary organization. The ceremony served not only as a farewell but as a recognition of a life lived with purpose and a legacy passed on through leadership and service.
Following the interment, a well-organized reception brought warmth to the solemn day. Guests enjoyed music, food, and fellowship as shared memories of the late patriarch flowed like fine wine. Those who had known Sir Samuel spoke of his humility, strength, and commitment to building a family rooted in love and respect.
The highlight of the reception came when members of the Aviary Club of Nigeria took to the dance floor in unity with their brother Michael Ayube, dancing not in sorrow, but in celebration of a life well spent. This gesture, symbolic of the unbreakable bond of brotherhood within the ACN, reminded all present that "the dead won’t die again" because their values and memories live on through those they’ve touched.
A Grateful Son
In his closing remarks, Mr. Michael Ayube extended deep appreciation to all who attended the burial, acknowledging the outpour of love from across provinces and councils. He expressed thanks for the support shown to his family and prayed for journey mercies as guests traveled back to their various homes.
As we draw the curtain on this commemorative event, Eagle’s Eye Magazine salutes the memory of Sir Samuel Boghenero Ayube a father whose legacy now echoes through the leadership and impact of his son.
