As the saying goes, "Charity begins at home." This guiding principle inspired the Galata Aviary community to step forward during Turkey's ongoing economic inflation crisis. With rising costs and growing uncertainty affecting many, we recognized the need to support both Avians and non-Avians alike, easing the burden of food insecurity.
Distribution of 5kg Rice Bags
In our first phase of outreach, we distributed 5kg bags of rice to families in need. This initiative was intended to offer immediate relief to those who have been hardest hit by the inflation crisis. The modest but impactful donation was met with gratitude, providing short-term sustenance to many within the community.
Extending Support to Affected Families
Our charitable efforts extended beyond just food distribution. Recognizing the increasing deportation of foreigners, we focused on providing assistance to widows and wives of our brothers who have been deported. These women, left vulnerable in the wake of tightened immigration laws, were offered support to help them navigate through this difficult period.
