SAY NO to Political Thuggery

Political thuggery is one of the most dangerous threats to our democracy, peace, and national progress. It thrives on violence, intimidation, and fear, eroding the very foundation of free and fair political participation. The Aviary Club of Nigeria stands firmly against this destructive practice and calls on all Nigerians to rise in unity and SAY NO to political thuggery.

Political thuggery is not just a political issue, it is a community issue. It destabilizes elections, silences the voices of the people, and drives away honest candidates who seek to serve with integrity. Beyond politics, it destroys lives, tears families apart, and damages the reputation of our beloved nation in the eyes of the world.

Our Stand

The Aviary Club of Nigeria believes that true leadership is built on ideas, vision, and service—not violence. We envision a Nigeria where elections are decided by ballots, not bullets; by dialogue, not destruction.

We call on:

  • Politicians to reject the use of thugs and instead promote peaceful campaigns.

  • Youths to refuse being used as tools for political violence. Your future is worth more than a quick payout.

  • Security agencies to enforce laws without fear or favor, ensuring that perpetrators of political thuggery face justice.

  • Communities to speak out against violence and protect the sanctity of their polling units.

The Way Forward

  • Education & Awareness: Teaching young people about civic responsibility and the dangers of political violence.

  • Community Partnerships: Working with local leaders, religious institutions, and NGOs to promote peace during elections.

  • Active Reporting: Encouraging citizens to report acts of political thuggery to the appropriate authorities.

Political thuggery has no place in a modern, democratic Nigeria. Together, we can end it. Together, we can build a nation where elections are safe, fair, and credible.

The Aviary Club of Nigeria proudly declares:
🛑 SAY NO to Political Thuggery. ✅ SAY YES to Peace, Unity, and Progress.
